With heartfelt congratulations we would like to announce that Dr. Sa'd Tuqan retired as a cardiologist with Inland Heart Doctors. Dr. Tuqan's career stretched over 48 years. He provided outstanding patientcare for Inland Heart Doctors for 26 years. He will be missed by his patients and staff. For all that knew Dr. Tuqan, loved him dearly. He will truly be missed and we wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his life. May he enjoy every day of his retirement!

Samantha Merchant is a Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona College of Nursing in Tucson, Arizona. She is board certified by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board. Before joining our Cardiology team, she gained experience working as a Nurse in the Cardiac ICU and Emergency Department. During her free time, Samantha enjoys taking in new culinary experiences with her husband, immersing herself in literature, relaxing at the beach, and experiencing the magic of Disneyland.

Amy graduated with her associate degree in nursing from Victor Valley Community College in 2006. As a new graduate, she accepted a position in a Medical and Surgical Intensive Care unit and their new graduation program. After working a few years, she began attending California State University, Fullerton, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science in 2009.
After nine years in the Medical and Surgical intensive care unit, she then decided to concentrate strictly on cardiac patients. She excepted a position in a cardiovascular intensive care unit, with a desire to expand her knowledge. After a couple of years of intense training and experience, Amy decided to further her education by studying at California Baptist University School of Nursing. She attended a rigorous program, where she graduated with honors with a masters and family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) in 2019. She also earned an Invitation to join the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is a nationally board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. On her free time Amy enjoy spending time with her family. For fun, she enjoys being outside going to places such as the beach, and Disneyland. Amy feels that keeping yourself healthy and active is very important in keeping yourself young. She also feels that keeping a positive outlook on life, each day, helps one’s inner self. |

Srinidhi Ekkati earned her Master’s degree in Medical Sciences at Methodist University, Fayetteville, North Carolina and has been a board Certified
Physician Assistant for the past 12 years. Before joining Inland Heart Doctors, Srinidhi started her career in Nephrology and Primary Care in Chicago. She moved from Chicago in 2014 and since then been a Southern California resident where she has been working in Cardiology. |
